My name is Nilan, & I am the proud owner of this brand - Colorful You.

 

A regular Solomon Islands village girl from the beautiful Munda, Western Province currently residing in Australia.

 

I would like to take this opportunity to share my story with the world, a compelling story of how God transformed my once very plain, self-destructive, spiritually destructive life into a wholesome meaningful and powerfully purposed life.

Colorful You didnt always exist, it was carefully crafted by he who created me, my personal Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ. 

​

Growing up I always had a close relationship with God, starting from a very young age in the village of Munda, Solomon Islands. We eventually moved to Australia & I grew up in Australia from the age of 4 or 5yo. ( This transition set the very stone for the future God planned ).

​

  As I grew older, the western adult world had presented itself and ohh how I lost my way & ended up entangled in the enjoyment lifestyle of the world, falling deeper into sin & disobedience, until my spirit was crying out for help. About 10 years or so ago, I began to feel Gods gravity pull & I could not escape it! I surrendered & walked back into a church after many years & during a very powerful prayer session, one of the very lovely ladies said she had a vision of me in heaven, I was dressed in royal gowns and sparkling shoes and my entire being was absolutely glowing with multiple different colours that radiated from me.  And standing there, was non other than Jesus Christ himself and he said " this is how I see all of my children"

Throughout the years after, I faced many more trials, but each one a stepping stone towards a purpose God had written for my life.

Fast forward to 2023 & I had a sudden urge and interest to start selling my jewellery collection, so i prayed on it & asked God for a confirmation. He reassured me with the same feeling & gravity pull towards this idea! And one day, in the tiny little room at my mothers house, I had set up a small shop full of jewelery, and as a customer was trying on her earrings, God spoke & said " Colorful You" - I quickly wrote it down & in that moment, i had a flashback memory of the time of the prayer session and vision foretold! I also instantly saw the same image in my thoughts clear as day, & in that moment, i felt the peace of God hover over me like it was my destiny.

As time went on, I prayed over every step of this journey and God led the way. For the first time in my life, I had a purpose, and a vision, trusting in God every step of the way. One thing led to another & God had prepared absolutely everything in advance, this business journey wasnt a struggle, it was free flowing & I didnt have to struggle for help of guidence, because everything I needed had already aligned by the time i finally stepped into my purpose. I walked alone in the very start of this business, in fact, i told noone of my ideas and plans, I did not even council with friends & family, I moved silently until progress spoke for me. My work spoke volumes & there was no boasting, no real advertising, just full trusting in Gods divine plan of action & here we are today :) - God elevated me in silence, & then revealed to the world in public. In front of all those who were hoping for my downfall, in front of all those who spoke nothing but ill of me, told me i was worthless & just a person without purpose. All of that negative noise, is now just that - noise. Because what God has assigned you to accomplish in your life, it will happen.

I never knew where the road would lead me, but all I knew in my heart was that it was designed for me. My personality fit the job description & my artistic side was brought to life, giving me purpose & many reasons to live. I now have a very supportive partner & three children, and this business has humbled my heart deeply. God blessed me with a family & a brand & I stand here today, giving all the glory and honor back to Jesus.

There you have it, Colorful You isn't only about dressing colorfully, its about recognizing who you are in the image of the Almighy God. Your unique qualities, identity, personalities etc, all wrapped in two powerful words - COLORFUL YOU.

I hope my testimony encourages somebody reading this, and Just know that, if God can change my life, he can 100% transform yours.
